Local Lions Club “Corn Hole for a Cure” raises funds for Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund
September 20, 2024The Lions Club of Dover, Rollinsford and South Berwick hosted their Third Annual “Cornhole for a Cure” fundraiser on August 10 at the Dunn Farm in Berwick, Maine. Almost $6,000 was raised with $3000 going directly to Annie’s Angels Memorial Fund - a local charity helping New England families struggling financially through life threatening disease, illness or disability. Additional funds raised will further the activities of the Lions Club locally, particularly in the areas of conservation, vision, hunger, and childhood cancer.
The local business community rallied to support this event with sponsors including Mainely Electric, Jayco Disposal, Meineke, Silver Therapeutics, Hunts Septic Service, Somersworth Nissan, High Effect Web Design, Insurcomm, Jennifer Halteman Insurance, ServPro, Holy Rosary Credit Union, SC Digital, and Kennebunk Savings.
The Lions Club of Dover, Rollinsford and South Berwick is a member of the Lions Club International, which began in 1917. Their motto is “We Serve.” The club gathers on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at Cara Irish Pub in Dover to find ways to improve their community. All are welcome to join.
