UNH Professor Discusses Warfare in Me...Description
On Monday October 17th at 7pm, David Bachrach, professor of history at the University of New Hampshire, will discuss his new book Warfare in Medieval Europe c. 400-c.1453, and share insights about the complexity, scale and influence of war throughout the European Middle Ages, how medieval military institutions, technology, topography, and organization were built on Roman foundations, and the ways in which the wartime experiences of medieval men and women continue to shape our world today.
David Bachrach, Ph.D, has taught medieval history at the University of New Hampshire since 2003. His main areas of research are on the military and religious history of medieval Europe, about which he has published numerous books and scholarly articles. Originally from Minnesota, Professor Bachrach now lives with his family in Dover, New Hampshire where he enjoys taking advantage of opportunities to hike and swim with his wife and three children.Tell a Friend
