Local Author Nicholas Conley to speak at the Dover Public Library
Nicholas Conley, a local author from Dover, will visit the Dover Public Library on Monday November 16th at 7pm in support of his new book. Nicholas is the author of The Cage Legacy and his newest novel, Pale Highway was released in October of this year. Nicholas’ new book has been reviewed by Publisher’s Weekly saying “steeped in suspense, Conley’s novel delves into the darker recesses of the medical establishment”. He will have copies of his book for sale and will be signing copies following his talk.
Pale Highway, is a novel that was originally inspired by Nicholas’s years of work with Alzheimer's patients in a nursing home setting. It's the story of Gabriel Schist, a Nobel Prize winning immunologist who comes down with Alzheimer’s and is confined to live in a nursing home. However, when a new superbug hits the population, Gabriel is the only one with the knowledge to find a cure—if his declining mental condition doesn’t catch up with him first.
More information can be found on Nicholas’ website, www.NicholasConley.com. His publisher, Red Adept Publishing, has a page up with more info about Pale Highway. A piece written for Vox regarding his personal experience with nursing homes can be found here.
