If you've ever dreamed of becoming a published author, this event is for you! Self-publishing/indie publishing is a growing phenomenon. Books of all genres are being independently published every day as e-books, print, or both, by people just like you, often with minimal resources. Join Savvy Workshop and self-published author and publishing expert Lisa Akoury-Ross to get started the top questions about indie publishing, including: What does "Indie Publishing" mean? Why Indie publishing is a viable option for authors today? Top indie authors and how did they do it? Choosing a publishing channel - e-book, print, or both? Top ten questions authors should ask a publisher before committing to one (including online, hybrid and vanity presses). Meet Our Speaker: Lisa Akoury-Ross began her career in the book production business over 25 years ago, serving the largest publishers in the world in the medical, education, and trade industries. Her family business provided full production services for publishers such as Pearson Education, Houghton Mifflin, Aspen Law & Business, and others. SDP provides publishing services for authors based on their needs and budget, including developmental editing and copy editing, custom cover design and layout, book marketing, query letter and book proposals, literary agency representation, and publishing for print and e-book formats.
