Dover Holiday Parade

The beloved Dover Holiday Parade, presented by Dover Honda, is making a joyous return on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Local radio personality, Don Briand will proudly serve as Grand Marshal and will be joined by Cliff Blake, recognized as the 2024 Community Arts Champion, celebrating his dedication to enriching Dover’s arts community. Organized by the Cochecho Friends, the parade, which has been a hallmark of the holiday season for decades, promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a dazzling lineup of vibrant floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and, of course, a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. This year's theme, Tales from the Nutcracker will celebrate the classic story and its iconic characters bringing the Nutcracker to life. The parade will begin at 3:00pm at the Chamber of Commerce and Sixth Street and follow its traditional route down Central Avenue, concluding at Cleary Cleaners. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best viewing spots. The Cochecho Friends is a completely volunteer group that includes: Mayor Robert Carrier, Angela Carter, Aaron Cronkrite, Lori Nollet, Michelle Routhouska, and Dennis Shanahan.
