Children's Museum hosts 3rd annual Ro...Description
(Dover, NH – March 24, 2015) – Get ready to geek out at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire! For the third consecutive year, the museum is hosting a meet-up and exhibition of robots from around the Seacoast, plus a special guest ambassador from NASA. Robo-Palooza is set for Saturday, April 18 from 11 am - 2:00 pm at the Children's Museum and all robotics activities are included in regular paid admission.
Seacoast Robotics and the UNH Luna Cats are co-hosting the event with the Children's Museum as a grand finale to National Robotics Week. Robotics programs and teams from all over the Seacoast will converge on the Museum for an afternoon of fun with robots including demonstrations from local FIRST Robotics Competition teams and the Luna Cats, the University of NH’s engineering team that competes nationally each year. Attendees will have a chance to meet and talk with the kids and adults involved in all of these robotics programs, and learn more about how to get involved.
Special guest Caleigh MacPherson, an official NASA Ambassador and former team captain of the UNH Luna Cats, will offer two special hands-on activities for families. Kids can learn how to build a lunar rover and create a custom-built rocket.
No reservations are required for Robo-Palooza. Admission to the Children's Museum of NH is $9 per person for children and adults, $8 for seniors, and free for babies under 12 months old. Museum members are also admitted free. If you purchase a museum family membership during your first visit, the amount you paid in admission is deducted from the membership cost.
